St. Matthew

St. Matthew is one of the twelve Apostles. He started out as a publican (tax collector) before he was chosen by Christ himself to follow him. He also wrote the Gospel of St. Matthew detailing the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Many verses of St. Matthew’s Gospel included the parables taught by Christ. Matthew was also known as Levi.
